Design Software EnkaSlope & EnkaRoad
EnkaSlope
When designing reinforcement for slopes and support structures, geogrid anchor
length and long-term tensile strength must be selected to meet minimum safety
factor requirements. In the mid-1980s, Dov Leshchinsky, Professor of Civil
Engineering at the University of Delaware, USA, developed an algorithm to
calculate the layout and minimum tensile strength of geosynthetic reinforcement
for any given safety factor and structural geometry. He continued to develop his
software, ultimately creating the EnkaSlope software using Enkagrid PRO
geogrids.
EnkaRoad
In designing road surface structures using geogrids to stabilize the
subsoil,
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Meyer, now at the Technical University, Clausthal, Germany,
combined his studies with the multifunctional geogrid Enkagrid TRC and Enkagrid
MAX product types in a single calculation procedure, which is now an easy to use
design/analysis tool in the shape of the EnkaRoad software.
