Enkagrid MAX

Enkagrid MAX is a rigid, biaxial geogrid of extruded polypropylene or polyester bars of equal tensile strength both in longitudinal and transverse direction, used for the stabilization of soil structures on low bearing capacity soils.

Moving vehicles generate forces in the road pavement. How these loads are then distributed depends on the road structure, including the sub-base and the angle at which the loads radiate. If the sub-base is weak over the whole length of the road or only partially, this can lead to differential settlements of the road. If this process is unchecked it will have a serious effect on road usage and on life expectancy.

Enkagrid MAX is designed to absorb the dynamic loads from construction traffic in roads and parking areas and the subsequent performance upon completion.

Interacting with the soil, this geogrid absorbs components of the compression forces resulting from traffic or similar influences. Horizontal forces are directed into the geogrid itself, which absorbs the load and reduces the shear stress on the sub-base, stabilizing the road structure on soft or mixed soils.

Enkagrid MAX made of polypropylene bars can be installed in lime-stabilized and cement-strengthened soils without affecting its long-term performance. Enkagrid MAX's unique high-precision laser-welded structure of chemically inert extruded polymer bars makes it compliant with the design rules for using geotextiles and geogrids in road building earthworks issued by various authorities.

Supplied in 5 m wide rolls, this geogrid is easy to handle, quick to install and provides cost-effective solutions for both temporary and permanent construction projects.

Enkagrid MAX comes in a range of product types of varying tensile strengths, always offering the right geogrid for your specific project.
